Review :
Exceptional. A number of students I know have bought this and so they should. Informative and inspiring. The Lighting text is one of the best I have come across thus far; thorough, clear, well-designed, great examples. Unlike the usual approach, Präkel not only considers studio light but all light as the basis for building a picture. Outstanding point of view, backed by visual proof and succinct but juicy text. Can't help but recomend to everyone in photography education or trade! A very useful book which will support students in First Year as they engage with the technical and aesthetic uses of lighting in photography. Essential guide for students with clear chapters, content and examples. A stimulating and thought-provoking overview of photography's application since its modern inception.
