About the Book

Venom gets a new host, bonding Flash Thompson in this fan-favorite run penned by Rick Remender! Collects Amazing Spider-Man (1999) #654 (B story), #654.1; Venom (2011) #1-16, 13.1-13.4. America has a new hero! Flash Thompson is Spider-Man's biggest fan. That inspired him to join the Army, where he became a decorated soldier. Though he lost his legs, Flash never lost his dignity - or his desire to serve. Now, the government has offered him a chance to don a familiar alien symbiote and protect his country once again as its most lethal operative: Agent Venom! But how long before Flash starts losing control to the symbiote? And when Jack O'Lantern blackmails Flash into following the merciless Crime-Master, can Venom complete the mission and save his loved ones? Plus: After a portal to the underworld opens in the middle of Las Vegas, Venom must join Red Hulk, Ghost Rider and X-23 to stop Hell on Earth!

About the Author :
Beginning his career in animation working on such films as The Iron Giant, Anastasia and Titan A.E., Rick Remender has become a comic-book triple threat - writing, penciling and inking numerous fan-favorite series. Remender served as writer on hit video games Dead Space and Bulletstorm, while providing art for punk/metal bands like NOFX and 3 Inches of Blood. He's co-created many popular independent titles, including the critically acclaimed Fear Agent with longtime collaborators Tony Moore and Jerome Opena. His time at Marvel started on Punisher, and has since led to well-received runs on Uncanny X-Force, Venom, Captain America and Uncanny Avengers. Remender made headlines by promoting Sam Wilson, the Falcon, to full-fledged shield-slinger in All-New Captain America. Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger's "Brand New Day" era, and the title hit the "Big Time" when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes - including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited "Reckoning War." In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man. Writer Rob Williams got his start on the legendary British comic magazine 2000AD and the critically acclaimed Cla$$war. His diverse credits also include Indiana Jones and the Tomb of the Gods and Star Wars Rebellion for Dark Horse. In addition to the series Daken: Dark Wolverine and Ghost Rider, Williams' Marvel work includes such one-shots and miniseries as What If? Wolverine: Father, Dark X-Men: The Beginning, Fear Itself: Uncanny X-Force, Skaar: King of the Savage Land and Iron Age. Artist Humberto Ramos made his American comics debut in 1994 with DC's Impulse, featuring the Flash's brash grandson. In 1998, Ramos launched the creator-owned Crimson under Wildstorm's Cliffhanger imprint, illustrating the title for more than two years. He then moved to Marvel, becoming one of the most recognizable and innovative talents in comics. Seamlessly blending both Eastern and Western styles, the artist's artist has worked on many of Marvel's most iconic characters - including Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men - in addition to a run on the fan-favorite Runaways. Ramos brought his kinetic artwork to the pages of Extraordinary X-Men and Champions, as well as a magical collaboration with Skottie Young on Strange Academy. Artist Tony Moore is a small-town guy from Kentucky, raised by a pack of wild televisions. The cocreator with Robert Kirkman of pop-culture phenomenon The Walking Dead, he also lent his hand to books such as Battle Pope, Masters of the Universe and Brit. Moore collaborated with Rick Remender on Fear Agent and Simon Oliver on The Exterminators. At Marvel, Moore reunited with Remender for the cult hit Franken-Castle and the relaunched Venom. His hobbies include watching horror movies, getting fat and sleeping. Cartoonist and illustrator Tom Fowler has worked in comics, advertising, and film and game concept design for such varied clients as Disney, Hasbro, MAD, DC Comics and Marvel. He is best known for his work on the feature strip "Monroe" for MAD Magazine and his critically acclaimed series Mysterius the Unfathomable with writer Jeff Parker. For Marvel, he has illustrated the Spider-Man spinoff series Venom and the original graphic novel Hulk: Season One.
