About the Book

Construction Management Fundamentals provides an integrated overview of the fundamentals of construction in a logical, simple, and concise format. Numerous examples are used in the text to reinforce construction and management concepts. These include application details, photographs, and illustrations derived from actual projects.

Based upon professional practice, standard formats for analyzing common problems are presented and explained. Such formats prepare students for fast-paced bid preparation where attention to detail is critically important.

This updated third edition has been revised to reflect The National Academy of Construction (NAC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and ABET revised construction curriculum requirements to include Building Information Modeling/3-D Modeling and understanding 4D modeling.

- Intended for use in an undergraduate Civil Engineering curriculum or for graduate courses in Construction Management.

- The text covers the fundamentals of construction in a logical, simple, and concise format, and many examples reinforce construction and management concepts through applications, photographs, and illustrations derived from actual projects

- Meets the newly revised curriculum requirements (ASCE, NAC, and ABET) to include Building Information Modeling, 3-D modeling, and an understanding of 4-D modeling
