Sig.--Thirty to fifty minims in water by the rectum. Ringer. Trional acts much more promptly than sulphonal, and usually causes less drowsiness during the following day. It is especially indicated in case of extreme nervousness. It has little or no power to relieve pain. IV. DISEASES OF WOMEN. Sleeplessness in Uterine Disorders. When patients complain of nervousness or of sleeplessness, the potassic bromide must be given, either alone or in combination with other remedies. A cheap mixture, much thought of by our patients at the University clinic, is the following: R Pulv. ferri sulphat. exsiccat.......gr. xxx. Potassibromidi.................. Rad. calumbaecontus.............. aagl Aquae bullientis........................Oj. Steep for twenty-four hours and then strain.
