S. or order, and endorsed by payee to S. T. or bearer, becomes, in the hands of subsequent holders, the same as a note payable to bearer. (Id.) A note payable to order can not be transferred by mere delivery, but should be endorsed by the payee or sued in his name, or the name of his legal representative. Dawson 'v. Jewett, 4 G. Gr., 157. See Pearson-v. Cummings, 28-344. A provision that a note is negotiable and payable at a certain place designated, does not affect its negotiability, nor prevent its negotiability eleswhere.
