This was God's Covenant, his everlafting Covenant with Abraham. Here; he fays he will eflablifi bis Covenant between Abraham and his Seed. What Covenant? Why, To Be A God unto him, and to his Seed after him.. A moft undeniable Proof that the-whole SubJhince of the Covenant made with Abraham, is wrapt up in this fingle Expreflion, that he would be His God. When God appeared to Ifaac (Chap. xxvi. 24.) he made himfelf known to him by this Title, / am The God of Abraham thy Father, fear not. Why is God's being the God of Abraham offered to Ifaac as a Reafon for his Trujl in God, unlefs it be underftood that in declaring himfelf to be Abraham's God, God undertook to perform to hinij the Promifes made to Abraham?
