Not illustrated. 1905 Excerpt: ...Thomas died, and in 165-Sir Charles Coote, by colour of some pretended act of Parliament, entered on the lands. From him petitioner has ever since been compelled to hold them at a rent of 400 a year. These lands are now in the King's hands, Sir Charles Coote's grant thereof dating from the time of the usurper. Petitioner prays for a grant of these lands, &c, for the use of the suppliant, Anne and her children. P.. Endd. in Williamson's? hand "Sir Charles Coote to be heard and nothing to be done Copy of Petition of Jenico, Viscount Gormanstown, to the King, showing that: --He has the King's direction for restoration to his father's estate of 1641, and is named in the Declaration as a person specially deserving the King's favour. Lady Lucas claims the wardship of petitioner, and he has been ordered to pay her 1,200, of which he has paid part till the settlement 307, 136. Ireland 1661. and secured the rest. The Court of Claims has given him a decree of restoration, but only as to part of his estate and not as to the chief seat of his ancestors' habitation. He prays that the Act now under consideration may contain a clause for his complete restitution. P. f. Endd. S.P. Ireland 307, 137. Further Petition of Jenico, Viscount Gormanstown, to the King, showing that: --Lady Lucas petitioned the King to confirm her wardship of petitioner. The King referred the matter to the Lord Steward (Duke of Ormond) to whom petitioner supplied evidence which was certified under the hands of Sargents Glinne and Mayner, Judge Jenkins and Mr. Arthur Trevor showing that petitioner neither was, nor could be made, a ward.
