About the Book

Not illustrated. 1900 Excerpt: ...to the first lode from the underlying sandstone is about the same as at the Isle Royale mine, and the distance to the second, or Grand Portage epidote, is but little less than at the Isle Royale mine. Should a profitable mine be opened on the amygdaloid on which the first shaft is being sunk, the western lode lies so near that it could readily be mined by means of crosscuts run between the two. About forty men are employed at the Mayflower at present. OLD COLOKY. This property is so closely related to the Mayflower, in location, management and general con...
