The Magnisico Giuliana said, That obstinacy, which tends to a virtuous end, ought to be called constancy, as it was that of Epicaris, the daughter of a freed man of Rome, who being conscious of a great conspiracy against Nero, v/as of such constancy, that racked with the greatest tortures that may be imag.
