Die Korperlichkeit erscheint als ein Mangel an Realitat, und das Fehlen des Seins macht die Dinge in entsprechendem Verhaltnis korperlicher. Damit nun jene reine Ideenwelt Wirkungen in der Materie hervorzurufen vermag, bedarf es einer Vermittelung zwischen dem Geiste und der Korperwelt, eines Agens, welches zugleich ungeteilt und geistiger Natur ist, aber sich doch mit der Bedingung der Teilbarkeit, der Materie, beruhrt und dadurch die Mannigfaltigkeit der Erscheinungswelt erzeugt.
