Excerpt: Mushroom Cars are cars seen in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. They first appear on the track Mushroom Bridge. They are like the top of a Toad's head, with wheels on the bottom of it. They come back in Mushroom City of Star Cup in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. In both courses, the Mushroom Cars are not dangerous obstacles. Instead, if you hit one, a Mushroom will be dropped out of the car, and will land somewhere farther in front. If these mushrooms are hit, the racing team will get a decent amount of a boost. These cars never return in any other game, and strangely didn't appear in the DS version of Mushroom Bridge, along with the Bob-omb Car. This page talks about the Battle Stage.
