Excerpt: Adin was the first King of Deltora. He was once a blacksmith, working in the forge of Del, until he had a mysterious dream. One night in Del, a man dreamed of a belt. A belt which was made of an iron and steel, with seven great medallions linked with fine chains. In every medallion it was filled with one of the seven tribes talismans that protected them. And then Adin suddenly awoke, sweating all over he knew what the dream meant. It was a belt he would make, he knew that. And the belt should, could unite the tribes and their strength as one, and drain the Shadow Lord. He started with the work, and after many nights he had finished the secret belt. He traveled all over The Land of Dragons (now DELTORA) to gather to gems. In all the teritories the people who had the talisman wouldn't give their gem to him, but slowly they all agreed because they wanted to save their land. When he had all medallions filled, a rainbow color light flowed out of the belt and their gems in the last battle now known as The Battle For Deltora. After that, they saw that the belt had drained the evil and the banished Shadow Lord to the Shadowlands. They shouted in triumph. They saw that each gem spelled a name, which became the land's...
