Excerpt: The Bear is an unnamed huge black furred grizzly bear and the true antagonist that is accidentally woken up by Amos Slade and Copper from Walt Disney's 1981 film: The Fox and the Hound. Amos tries to shoot him, but he misses, and provokes the beast. He attacks Amos by swiping at him, and causes him to get caught in one of his own traps and his gun falls lose. Then Copper fights him, but despite of being small and more agile, Copper is of no match to the giant bear as he swats the dog, and Copper is soon overwhelmed in a very vicious fight. Against his better judgement, Tod quickly intervenes to save his friend, just as the bear is about to kill Copper, while Tod jumps on the bear and bites one of his ears, causing the bear to chase him instead up on a fallen trunk.
