Excerpt: The Ancient Belt is a mystical belt in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow that improves many statistics, with an emphasis on defensive stats (+7 Defense, +5 Constitution, +1 Strength, +1 Attack, +1 Luck. This is in contrast to the weaker Black Belt, which emphasizes offensive stats. Although it is equivalent in total power to Satan's Ring (which has the same amount of Defense, but whose other statistics are evenly distributed to +2 each and trades Luck for Intelligence), it is more common and worth much less gold (750 vs 5,000). The Ancient Belt was replaced with the Power Belt in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Ancient Books are three books in Aria of Sorrow. They're hints about which spirits are needed to continue game after beating Graham Jones. They are also required in mobile version to face Graham. The three books refer to the Flame Demon, the Giant Bat and the Succubus. The Fire Mail is an armor that gives protection against Fire based attacks.
