Excerpt: Lieutenant Commander Aksel K. Thorn (born December 22nd, 2511) was a Human senior officer of the UNSC Navy who served during the Great War. He was one of the elite Spartan-II super-soldiers, serving with the Naval Special Warfare Group "Herald Team," United Nations Marine Corps, and even ODST's, later becoming the commander for Gentry Team. Aksel was born on Epsilon Eridani IV in 2511.Aksel-113, like all the other spartans, was abducted from his family and was recruited into the SPARTAN-II project. He was then replaced by a flash-clone that died a few weeks later. Training with the other spartans, he ended up becoming good friends with Shawn-118 Born in about 2511, Aksel lived with his mother and father in New Quark, on the colony world of Epsilon Eridani IV. As a child, Aksel had shaggy blonde hair, and a small scar below his lip.
