Located in the Cedar Park neighborhood, the building is part of the Life Center Association (LCA), a land trust that owns several houses in West Philadelphia. Residents contribute to a common maintenance fund, which is disbursed in accordance with decisions made at a monthly meeting of representatives from the buildings. A-Space hosts a Books Through Bars program, the Philadelphia Anti-War Forum, and NORML meetings.
