From the earliest period in their recorded history, the Klatooinians believed in the idea of strength through age, as exemplified by the Fountain of Ancients. This spectacular formation was considered a gift of the Ancients, inspiring them to tenacity, patience, and respect for tradition. After the Hutts made contact with the Klatooinians and signed them into servitude, the long-lived gastropods were identified with the Ancients. Millennia later, however, younger Klatooinians who wanted freedom from their Hutt overlords disputed this. Aram Acheron was a mythical god-king revered by the Chagrian people, who believed that he would one day burst forth from Champala's sacred Logue Rock and lead loyal Chagrians to victory over their foes. Acheron was a river in Hades in Greek mythology, while Aram was the Hebrew name of the nation of Syria and of its progenitor, a grandson of Noah. In the Mandalorian religion, Arasuum was the sloth god and the personification of stagnation, idleness and consumption. In Mandalorian myth, Arasuum eternally fought the destroyer god Kad Ha'rangir, who forced change and growth upon the universe.
