It is normally held in The Savoy Theatre in Cork, but has been held in other venues around Cork city The winner of the pageant goes on to represent Cork at the annual Alternative Miss Ireland in Dublin's Olympia Theatre which is normally held in March. It is a charity event aimed at supporting HIV positive people and the proceeds are usually split between the Southern Gay Men's Health Project and the Cork Sexual Health Centre.
