Excerpt: The options screen. Account creation is very simple. You have to follow a few steps. These are listed here. The first part of account creation is done on the runescape.com site. To start a diary, players will need to talk to the NPC found near the Achievement Diary icon on the minimap. To access the Achievement Diary journal, players should click on the green star icon in their interface. Doing this will bring up a list of cities each with available tasks, broken down into four categories, from the beginners' to the hard tasks. The fifth category, elite, was released on 7 September 2010 (with the exception of Ardougne Elite Diary, which was released on 20 October 2009). The cities outlined within the Achievement Diary are colour-coded the same way as quests in the Quest list.
