Excerpt: Ago was a Kryptonian boyfriend of Kara Zor-El, who would later become Supergirl, before the destruction of Krypton. He was attending school with her in Kandor, but unbeknownst to Kara, he was a traitor. He was sympathetic to General Zod, and even Zor-El, and betrayed the Kryptonian Council's rule to assist Zod's army. Ak-Var is Van-Zee's lab assistant on Krypton, prior to its destruction. When Van-Zee took on the identity of Nightwing, Ak-Var became Flamebird. He's related to Thara Ak-Var, who would also take on the identity of Flamebird. Alura In Zee is the name of Zor-El's wife and Kara Zor-El's mother, on Krypton. She lived in Argo City. In current comics continuity, she is the leader of the city of Kandor and hence the entire population of New Krypton. She has released General Zod from the Phantom Zone, as well. In Superman: New Krypton, Alura and her husband were found to be alive on Kandor. Alura shows signs of xenophobia, or rather superiority over Humans, and a disregard for their lives. After her husband is murdered by Reactron, she becomes the de facto leader of New Krypton. Alura in this novel is a very comforting wife to Zor-El, as she is a skilled botanist and is good at healing using plants. Alura is only mentioned in Smallvi...
