Die Darstellung der Maria in der Churfurstl. Gallerte zu Dresden scheint ein Bild aus der 'Man kann voraussetzen, dass viele unserer Kunfiliebenden Lestr die Gallerte zu Dresden kennen, und gesehen haben t Jugendzeit unsers Kunstlers zu seyn. Es ist siach und hart, in der Anordnung zwar naturlich, aber ganz kunstlos, die Farben wechseln nicht gehorig mit einander ab, und thun daher keine gute Wirkung; ungeachtet dieses Fehlers ist das Werk anziehend und unterhaltend, weil die Kopfe treu nach der Natur gemahlt sind. Der Verfasser verrath gute Anlage zur Kunst, ob er gleich mit den Theorien derselben noch wenig bekannt ist und die einzelnen getrennten Theile seines Bildes..."
