Excerpt: Prokletije or Albanian Alps (Albanian: Montenegrin/Serbian: , pronounced ) is a mountain range in the Balkans that extends from northern Albania, to southwestern Kosovo and eastern Montenegro. Its highest point, Jezerce in Albania at 2,694 m (8,839 ft), is the tallest peak in the entire Dinaric Alps. Other peaks include eravica in Kosovo at 2,656 m (8,714 ft). Both the highest peak in Montenegro, Zla Kolata at 2,534m and Kosovo, eravica at 2,656m are located here. The highest peak in Albania though is Mount Korab which is 2,764 m (9,068 ft) high and is located in the east of the country on the border with Macedonia.
