He was also an author and biographer of Albert Margai, prime minister of Sierra Leone (1964-1967), and Kwame Nkrumah, president of Ghana (1960-1966). Bankole Timothy was for many years editor of the Daily Graphic in Accra. Emanuel Bankole Timothy was for many years editor of the Daily Graphic in Accra. He was in his day one of the most important figures in West African journalism.
