Aristio Fusco, Marcus Aristius Fuscus (... - ...), e stato un poeta, grammatico, commediografo, tragediografo e filologo romano, vissuto nel I secolo a.C., noto come amico di Quinto Orazio Flacco. Ci dice Pomponio Porfirione (anche se la sua opera e alterata) che Aristio fu un excellens grammaticus (filologo e grammatico) e uno scrittore di commedie in particolare togatae. Mentre per Elenio Acrone (i cui scritti sono una rielaborazione medievale) fu un tragediografo. Entro gradualmente nel circolo di Mecenate (dal 38 a.C. al 33 a.C. circa) dove conobbe l'ambiente in cui viveva Orazio con il quale gia da tempo era in amicizia. Nel corso degli anni venne alla conoscenza di altri 'intellettuali' dell'epoca come: Lucio Vario Rufo, Plozio Tucca, Quintilio Varo, Emilio Macro, Caio Melisso, Valgio Rufo, Domizio Marso, Cornelio Gallo, Sesto Properzio e Virgilio. E presente anche nel Rinascimento inglese nella commedia di Ben Jonson chiamata Poetaster (1601) dove fa una breve comparsa sulla scena. Le sue opere purtroppo non sono arrivate ai giorni nostri. Viene ricordato dal poeta Orazio nelle Satire (I, 9), nelle Epistole (I, 10) e nelle Odi (I, 22). Nel primo libro delle Satire, composte tra il 35 a.C. e il 33 a.C. Fusco viene inserito da Orazio in uno dei suoi piu famosi Sermones chiamato "Il Seccatore." Il carme e ambientato in un primo ...
