Left Prepectoral Glands.--One prepectoral gland, the size of a blackbird" s egg, showed on section changes similar to those in the left prescapular gland. Another had a few small yellow foci in the cortex. Pectoral Glands, Axillary Glands.--Normal. Left Cervical Glands.--A deep cervical gland, lying on the sheath of the carotid vessels, just anterior to the prepectoral gland mentioned above, measured 1J in. by $ in., and was similar on section to the prepectoral gland first mentioned. Thorax. Pleura.--The pleura was extensively covered with tuberculous new growth. Where it lined the thoracic cavity large patches and islands of soft pinkish fleshy growth, with villous surface somewhat resembling tho mucous membrane of a congested intestine, were seen. These patches were more extensive in the cephalic portion, while posteriorly they extended chiefly in lines following the borders of the ribs. Tho growth was somewhat nodular, the more projecting portions being adherent to similar growths on the surface of the lung. Where the pleura overlaid the fatty masses in the pericardial wall it was almost covered with a layer of pink villous growth, which was lightly adherent to the adjacent lung. There was no excess of fluid in the pleural cavities. Diaphragm.--On the thoracic surface of the diaphragm were patches and islands of growth similar to those on the thoracic pleura, but for the most part they had a narrower base, and many of them were lightly attached by a small pedicle.
