Extrait: Filippo Bonanni ou Filippo Buonanni, n le 6 janvier 1638 Rome et dcd le 30 mars 1725 Rome, tait un pretre jsuite italien, homme de science, collectionneur et directeur de muse. Avant d'entrer dans la Compagnie de Jsus il est tudiant au Collge romain de Rome, o il suit l'enseignement d'Athanasius Kircher. Il entre au noviciat jsuite le 3 octobre 1655. Bonanni enseigne quelque temps Orvieto avant de revenir Rome - de nouveau au Collge romain - pour ses tudes de thologie; il est ordonn prtre en 1669. Outre Kircher il est en contact avec Sforza Pallavicino, historien et thologien de renom. Comme prtre il est d'abord envoy enseigner la philosophie Ancona. Mais plus que la philosophie ce sont les sciences naturelles, et surtout la malacologie, qui l'intressent. Il est proche de Camillo Pichi dont il visite souvent la collection de coquillages. Nomm archiviste de la curie gnralice des jsuites Rome, en 1676, il dveloppe en ce poste son talent de collectioneur de curiosits scientifiques. Il reste 19 ans ce poste. Aprs trois ans de rectorat (1695-1698) au collge maronite de Rome. Bonanni retourne au collge Romain pour s'y occuper de la congrgation mariale, et surtout du muse (appel alors 'cabinet de curiosits) cr par Athanase Kircher. Il rassemble informations et objets divers, et publie des travaux, qu'il illustre de dessins personnels, sur la numismatique pontificale, les instruments religieux, et sur d'autres sujets. Buonanni est un collectionneur de coquillages et est l'auteur du premier livre consacr uniquement ces animaux. Il fait paratre Rome en 16...http: //booksllc.net/?l=fr
