Extrait: Avenged Sevenfold est un groupe californien de metalcore et de heavy metal (souvent abrege A7X) fonde a Huntington Beach en 1999, compose de M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ et Arin Ilejay. Ce dernier remplace The Rev, ancien batteur du groupe decede le 28 decembre 2009. Le batteur Mike Portnoy a aussi aide le groupe a pouvoir enregistrer leur dernier album Nightmare et a en assurer la tournee jusqu'a fin decembre 2010. Le groupe a longtemps ete un pilier de la scene underground californienne avant d'evoluer vers un son plus facile d'acces et de connaitre la reussite avec l'album City of Evil et l'album eponyme Avenged Sevenfold. Ils sont consideres comme faisant partie de la New Wave of American Heavy Metal (en analogie avec la New Wave of British Heavy Metal) et ont atteint la seconde place du classement...
