Moliere Pierre CorneilleLa paternite des uvres de Moliere n'a jamais ete mise en doute par ses contemporains, meme par Jean Donneau de Vise, qui, dans un dialogue entre deux de ses personnages de sa comedie La Vengeance des marquis, ou Reponse a L'Impromptu de Versailles, comedie en prose (1664), Cleante et Ariste, leur fait dire: Au contraire, il a subi de nombreuses accusations de plagiat. Citons Antoine Baudeau de Somaize (1660): Citons egalement Charles Robinet (1664): Le janseniste Adrien Baillet ne remet pas en cause la veracite du - poete comique -, mais lui reproche de ne pas connaitre les regles aristoteliciennes du theatre classique: (1686). L'abbe d'Aubignac (dans sa Quatrieme Dissertation concernant le poeme dramatique en 1663) presente Corneille comme l'auteur de la cabale contre L'Ecole des femmes, qui contiendrait selon lui une allusion a ses pretentions nobiliaires (acte I, scene 1).
