The tallest building in Atlanta is the 55-story Bank of America Plaza, which rises 1,023 feet (312 m) and was completed in 1992. Surpassing everything outside of New York and Chicago it ranks as the 8th-tallest building in the country. The second-tallest building in the city and the state is the SunTrust Plaza, which rises 871 feet (265 m). Of the 20 tallest buildings in Georgia, 18 are located in Atlanta. The other two are Concourse Corporate Center V & VI (the King & Queen towers) in the neighboring city of Sandy Springs; the towers are 570 feet (170 m) and 553 feet (169 m)tall respectively, making them the tallest suburban buildings in the country.
