Excerpt: Aaron James Ramsey (born 26 December 1990) is a Welsh professional footballer, who captains the Wales national football team and plays for Arsenal F.C. as a central midfielder. A box-to-box midfielder with a creative edge, he can also play as a winger and at fullback. Ramsey played for Cardiff City as a schoolboy where he spent eight years in youth football before making 16 appearances for the senior team. Ramsey moved to Arsenal in 2008 in a 5 million pound deal, where he quickly gained first team experience. However, his progress was put on hold after suffering a broken leg in a match in the 2009-10 season, caused by a challenge by Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross.
