Fyodor Solntsev, 1843.The Mezhyhirya Transfiguration Monastery (Ukrainian: ) is a ruined Eastern Orthodox monastery that used to serve as a historic Prince-residency (Rurik) during the Medieval times located near the city of Vyshhorod (10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the north). Today, the territory it used to be located in is part of the Vyshhorod Raion of Kiev Oblast (province) in northern Ukraine. The complex used to lie in the Mezhyhirya ravine, on the right bank of the Dnieper River (Dnipro).
