It pioneered commerce-related studies in the country. It consistently ranks as one of the top higher institutions of the country. The university is composed of three separate campus located throughout Manila: the A. Mabini Campus, NDC Compound Campus and the M.H. del Pilar Campus. The campus of the university was named after Apolinario Mabini, a Filipino political philosopher and revolutionary who wrote a constitutional plan for the First Philippine Republic and served as its first prime minister. With a population of 68,896 students, it is the largest university in the Philippines.
