Believing in God as a Being of infinite perfections, whose absolute intelligence, --knowing the end from the beginning, and comprehending all causes with their effects, --is adequate to all enterprises, who is overpowered by no magnitude, who is not perplexed by multitude, nor eluded by even insignificance, we must acknowledge Him as the Ruler of the affairs of our world, and the Arbiter, directly or indirectly, of all human destinies.
