Excerpt: ... 1:40 p. m., November 15, 1910, Louisville, Ky., J.rry Dopson, car repairer, in service Southern Railway Company, white, age 50, residence 509 Ohio Ave., Jefferson ville, Ind., was injured to suoh an extent that he died at 2:30 p. m., caused by being caught between two cars and crushed. NASHVILLE, CHATTANOOGA & ST. LOUIS RAILWAY. About 5:45 p. m., November 28, 1910, a man supposed to be James Stewart of Louisville, Ky., was killed by cars handled by switch engine at Paduoah, Ky., by having his bead badly mashed. There was no eye witnesses, but, it is the general supposition that he was attempting to get across our track by climbing between cars and lost ibis balance. Northbound passenger train No. 61, December 27, 1910, killed Thomas Downing, a deaf and dumb man near Iola, Ky. He was walking on the track near a curve and when our train rounded the curve and the engineer saw him be was too close to stop before striking him; although the whistle was sounded; the bell rung, and 'everything possible done to avoid the accident. This man was a trespasser. LOUISVILLE & JEFFERSONVILLE BRIDGE CO.--1910. February 23, 1910, at 12:35 a. m., F. E. Ohapin, age 30 years, Engineman, service 4 years; J. A. Gilbert, age 21 years, Fireman, service 15 days; T. II. Mullery, age 26 years, Brakeman, service 10 days, -were killed. L. & J. Bridge Engine No. 3 coupled on to the east end of a cut of nineteen cars being delivered by the L. & N. R. R. Air was connected up and working on all except the west two cars. After testing the air the cut was started east for movement to Jeffersonville, L. & J. Bridge Engine pulling it and the L. & N.
