Born April 5, 1841, in Ohio, a brother of Samuel J. Jordan, last above. Married Tennah Hagaman September 20, 1866; children: F. H. and Ada M. Enlisted October 27, 1861, in Company F, Sixty-seventh Ohio Volunteer Infantry; appointed corporal from date of enlistment; discharged June 12, 1862, for disability; engaged in battles at Kearnstown, Va., March 23, 1862; Strasburg, Va., March 27, 1862; Front Royal, Va., May 30, 1862; again enlisted May 2, 1864, in Company D, One Hundred and Thirtieth Ohio Infantry; appointed sergeant May 2, 1864; mustered out with company September 22, 1864. Settled in O'Brien County 1873, on southeast % section 8, Summit Township. Died December 2, 1885. An early member of Kenyon Post No. 339, G. A. R., at Sanborn; S. F. Jordan Post No. 417, G. A. R., Primghar, Iowa, was named after him. Judd, Demetrius B. Resides on section 36, Baker Township, O'Brien County, Iowa; born July 27, 1835, at Cleveland, Ohio; father, Obadiah B. (born at Syracuse, N. Y.); mother, Amelia M. (born at Hartford, Conn.). Married to Mary B. Adams; children: Frank D., Lillian, Belle, Howard and Hattie. Enlisted December 7, 1863, at Cleveland, Ohio, in Company E, One Hundred Twenty-eighth Ohio Volunteer Infantry; served as corporal; discharged July 13, 1865, at Columbus, Ohio. Settled in O'Brien County, March 5, 1873, on section 36, Baker Township, and has continuously resided there since. Member of McKenzie Post N0. 72, G. A. R., at Sheldon. Kaestlen, Samuel. Born February 17, 1823, at Sennheim, France. His father was born in Switzerland and his mother in France....
