Not illustrated. 1873 Excerpt: ...the last combat with Ravana. It was Matali who told Rama not to aim at the demon's heads, but at his heart, and thus effected his destruction. Sugriva was then made king; but one day Balf himself reappeared, having been the victor over Mayavin, but unable to get out of the cavern, and thinking that his brother had blocked it up in purpose to deprive him of his crown, vowed to take his life; Sugriva however took refuge in the wood of Rishyamuka, from which Bali had been excluded by the curse of the sage Matunga.--I.
