Review :
"The book is global in orientation with cases as diverse as Iran and Belgium, Colombia and Nigeria. (...) The real strength of the book stems from the generalizations that emerge from the comparison of these cases. Through the analysis of historical, institutional, cultural and psychological factors, it becomes clear where the potential, but also the limits for deliberation in deeply divided societies are." - Jurg Steiner, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA and University of Bern, Switzerland
