But, I think, this must appear to be a very ill-natur'd Assertion. Your Lordships will confider, he was then writing to his Son-in-Law; and therefore no great Accuracy was necessary. In another Place he fays, That if they impeach'd him, he mould remain in Prison for some time; and this they would decypher to be an Implication of his Guilt. But, in my poor Opinion, it is the Reverse: He seems to fay, That if the Commons should be induced to send up an Impeachment against him, he was so satisfied of his own Innocence, and your Lordships Justice, that...
