All persons who keep regular meat stalls in Regular sai(l city, or who sell at any established place fresh meats of meat stalls. -' - _ r any description, shall be required to keep a register of the marks, brands, and the name of the person from whom purchased, of each beef, hog, sheep or other slaughtered animal, and to exhibit the same to the Marshal whenever he may desire to examine the same; and it shall be the duty of said Marshal to examine said register at least once a week, and make such other investigations as he may deem proper, to see that the law is properly complied with. Sec. 332. All itinerant dealers or peddlers of fresh meats itinerant in said city, shall be required, before offering any such meat dealers in, ., ., .j. j. i, . fresh meat. for sale, to exhibit the same, and if a beef, the hide of the same, to the Marshal, for inspection at his office, and obtain from him a certificate of such inspection and of the soundness of the meat so offered for sale; such persons shall pay to the Marshal as fees for such services, viz: For each beef inspected, 50 cents. For each hog inspected, 10 cents. For each sheep inspected, 10 cents. For each veal inspected, 10 cents. Sec. 333.
