He was bred in Australia, and at 3 years old ran 3rd in Hastings Plate Newmarket Did not run after that age. KISBER 4.--A bay horse, 1873, by Buccaneer 14--Mineral by Rataplan 3, out of Manganese (see The Miner). He was halfbrother to Wenlock, and a much better horse. He won the Dewhurst Plate at 2 years, and the Derby and Grand Prix de Paris at 3 years. THE KNIGHT 13.--A chestnut horse, 1882, by Ingomar 13--Spr1te by Master George--mare by Touchstone 14--Lady Sarah by Velocipede 3. He ran once only, at 2 years old. Appears in the pedigrees of Sheet Anchor 1895, his dam Bandroi, &c. KNIGHT OF GWYNNE 4 A brown horse, 1847, by Gilbert Gurney 12--Seaweed by Slane 25, out of Sea Kale (sister to Simoom, whom see). He won twice at 2 years, thrice and was 2nd in Newmarket Handicap at 3 years. Was only moderate. KNIGHT OF MALTA 1.--A brown horse, 1886, by Galopin 3, out of Pilgrimage by The Earl 12 or The Palmer 5, out of Lady Audley by Macaroni 14, out of Secret by Melbourne 1, out of Mystery by Jerry 15. He never ran. KNIGHT OF KARS.-A bay horse, 1855, by Nutwith 9--Pocahontas (see Stockwell). He won the Free Handicap Newmarket and a Handicap at Reading at 3 years, and was often placed in good company. He only ran once after that age. KNIGHT OF ST. GEORGE 26.--A bay horse, 1851, by Birdcatcher u, out of Maltese by Hetman Platoff 2--Waterwitch by Sir Hercules 2 Mary Anne by Waxy Pope 1. He won the St. Leger at which time he only stood 15 hands high, and was a most difficult horse to ride, savage and intractable.
