At Seattle, on Lahor Day, Holm, the Spokane pitcher, was in the hox for two games and shut out the home team without a run. in the first game, which was an eleven inning contest, he allowed only three hits, the score heing 1-0; in the second game he did even hetter, only two of the Seattle players getting credit for a hit apiece. He gave only one hase on halls and struck out twelve men. Not a Seattle player got past first hase. On Septemher 27. at Tacoma. the Spokane and Tacoma teams played three consecutive games, the home team winning the three hy the scores of 4--1. 7--0, 7--3. The last game was stopped hy darkness in the eighth inning. The only other case on record in organized Base Ball where three games have Iwen played in one day hy the same cluhs is that of Brooklyn vs. Pittshurg, in the National League, on Septemher 1, 1890, when Brooklyn won all three.
