About the Book

Learn how to improve mental health and general wellness with the medicinal magic of cannabis and mushrooms--from CBD oil to elixirs and gummies to THC dosing. When health coach and wellness blogger Jenny Sansouci learned that her father was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, her extensive knowledge of the latest alternative therapies was put to the test. Jenny dove into the world of cannabis and mushrooms and their medicinal properties--and she and her dad are now outspoken champions of the healing power of these plants and fungi--not only to tame the side effects of chemotherapy, but to address everyday wellness concerns. The Rebel's Apothecary is the result of her heartfelt and rigorous quest--a science-based and supportive guide that will enhance the lives of anyone living with pain, anxiety, depression, a weakened immune system, insomnia, and more. Complete with background information, dosing instructions, and everyday recipes, this is the essential handbook for harnessing the ancient healing powers of cannabis and mushrooms--safely, without confusion, fear, or an unwanted high. In addition to debunking myths and destigmatizing these powerful healing plants and fungi, The Rebel's Apothecary presents: Specific protocols and dosage guides for wellness uses (mood, sleep, immunity, focus, energy) and managing common chemotherapy side effectsEveryday wellness routinesRecipes for delicious, easy, health-enhancing cannabis and mushroom infused smoothies, coffee drinks, teas, elixirs, gummies, broths, and moreThe latest research on CBD, THC, medicinal mushrooms and psilocybinTips for creating a cutting-edge home apothecary of your own

About the Author :
Jenny Sansouci is a certified health coach and wellness expert, and the creator of the popular wellness blog Healthy Crush. A graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she is based in Brooklyn, New York. Frank Lipman, MD is a pioneer and internationally recognized expert in the fields of Integrative and Functional Medicine, as well as the founder and director of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center in New York City, one of the best-known Integrative medicine centers in the country. Frank is a New York Times bestselling author who is dedicated to simplifying a whole-systems approach to optimal health for today's reader. His most recent books, The New Health Rules and How to Be Well, broke the mold of health books by offering a dynamic and user-friendly guide to building better health one step at a time. It succeeded in reaching beyond the health-book audience and into a broad, general public, perfectly setting the stage for Sleep Well. Neil Parikh is the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Casper, the world's first sleep brand that dominates global e-commerce in addition to having twenty Sleep Shops across North America and selling at retailers such as Target and Hudson's Bay. Casper has sold mattresses to more than a million consumers, with sales topping $400 million in 2018. This year, Casper officially joined the unicorn club, with a valuation exceeding $1 billion. As the son of a sleep doctor, Neil has been perfectly positioned to bridge the gap between the science of sleep and the realities of the sleep industry. He was accepted to medical school at seventeen, worked on robotics at NASA (where he co-authored three patents), and in 2014 launched Casper. Carlotta Brentan is a New York-based bilingual theater artist specialising in the development of brave, challenging new plays as a director, actor, producer and translator. Stage highlights: World Premieres of Frank J. Avella's Lured, based on real events of anti-gay persecution in Russia (performed and co-directed, sold-out runs at Theater for The New City in NYC and OnStage! Festival in Rome), Avella's Vatican Falls about the Catholic church sex abuse scandal (performed and co-directed, The Tank NYC), Paolo Bignami's The Journey I Never Made (performed and translated from Italian, Cherry Lane Theatre NYC), Erik Ehn's Clover (La MaMa Experimental Theater Club NYC). Carlotta has collaborated on the development of Tobia Rossi's play Hide and Seek since 2019 as translator and director in both NYC and London, and was thrilled to continue this powerful play's journey at Park Theatre during its March 2024 run. Carlotta is also a film actor, prolific voiceover artist & award-winning audiobook narrator of over 170 novels.
