About the Book

Of the countless books that have been written on the life of the Founder of Islam, Life of Muhammad is quite unique. From the moment it was first published towards the end of the 1940s it made a name for itself as being a book that outlines the true character and practice of the Prophet Muhammad-the most influential person in history, and for billions around the world, the greatest man who shall ever live. Read by heads of state and leaders around the world, in several languages, Life of Muhammad is the perfect companion for learning about the beginning of Islam. Life of Muhammad offers a captivating perspective for the acquainted and unacquainted alike, and is considered a classic in the genre of Seerah-the study of the life of the Prophet of Islam and has proven incredibly popular throughout the decades. It serves as an ideal introduction to the religion of Islam and since the Prophet Muhammad is an integral part of it, Life of Muhammad is a comprehensive outline of the major events from the Prophet's birth in 571 C.E till his demise in 632. No subject has been left unaddressed and discussions around jihad, marriage, Islamic government, the Islamic view on slavery, the system of Islamic finance etc. in light of the Prophet's life and times, are all discussed. Written in a engaging and captivating style, Life of Muhammad is sure to enhance the reader's understanding of Islam and covers important ground related to matters that are incredibly relevant to today such as immigration, integration, Muslim identity, loyalty to one's nation and many more. What makes Life of Muhammad even more compelling is that it is the work of His Holiness Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul-Masih II-the second successor to the Promised Messiah who actively sought to change Muslim attitudes towards responding to the attacks against the character of the Prophet Muhammad. He believed that education, not fatwas or book burnings, was the mode through which the world could be educated about the Prophet Muhammad. The legacy of Life of Muhammad proves that he was right.
