About the Book

Thrive After 60 is my heartfelt guide to help you discover that life after sixty is a new beginning, a purposeful new chapter. I've lived through the extremes: a chaotic childhood, brushes with the law, and struggles with addiction. Here I share ideas and new ways of thinking that will help you make positive changes. I cover the practical stuff - how to stay physically healthy, mentally sharp, and financially secure. But more importantly, I show you how your mindset, your beliefs, and your emotions are the real keys to creating a vibrant, abundant life. I draw on lessons from science, spirituality, and real-life experience to help you shift limiting beliefs and start creating the life you deserve.

About the Author :
Peter Allen Dickinson is an author, a business coach, and a firm believer that life after 60 is a springboard for adventure, purpose, and a renewed sense of self. His life is a testament to this philosophy, a journey of continuous reinvention and growth. He left school at 16 with nothing to show for 12 years in state education.Peter pursued an occupation in electronics, which led him to a career as a computer engineer, where he felt he had finally found where he belonged. His work took him on an international journey for 12 years, living in the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and America. Upon returning to the UK, he transitioned successfully into sales and embraced a career in international sales.Peter's entrepreneurial spirit led him to strike out on his own in 2005, starting a business coaching firm. When he turned 60, he once again reinvented himself, becoming a high-growth sales consultant. In September 2024, he embarked on his latest venture, starting a coaching business to help "lightworkers" such as psychics, healers, and clairvoyants.Peter, now over 70, runs his own consultancy business and is actively climbing new mountains, both literally and figuratively. He attributes his vitality to a strong belief in himself and a mentally and physically active lifestyle. His personal motto, "Just Do It," is something he has said since 1976, predating the famous slogan. His mission is to help others realise that their beliefs shape their reality. In his book, Thrive After 60, he aims to challenge the myths of aging and guide readers to a life of abundance, love, and happiness by embracing a new mindset and recognising their own power to create their destiny. Peter's personal story serves as a powerful inspiration that it is never too late to pursue your dreams and live a fulfilling life.

Review :
An empowering and refreshingly positive, practical perspective on aging - challenging the stereotypes that society often imposes on older adults. With wisdom from decades of personal learning, the book encourages readers nearing or in retirement to embrace later life with vitality and joy, offering practical advice on staying active, maintaining social connections, and nurturing a positive mindset. Instead of focusing on the concerns of aging, it focuses on reinforcing the idea that life after 60 can be a period of boundless possibilities. With a warm, motivating tone, the book gives a sense of hope and inspiration for anyone looking to make the most of their later years. By integrating mindfulness, financial planning, and even the power of manifestation, this book offers a holistic approach to aging - thriving, growing, and finding joy in every stage of life. A great, engaging read for anyone approaching or in retirement, to really get the most out of life.
