About the Book

Quantum Computing for Multimedia Processing, Teleportation, and Secure Networks offers a comprehensive exploration of quantum-enhanced technologies across multimedia, communication, and cryptography. Bridging foundational theory with cutting-edge applications, this book systematically addresses how quantum computing transforms classical approaches to data representation, transmission, and security.

Structured in two parts, the book first delves into Quantum Computing for Multimedia Processing, covering quantum image and video representation, arithmetic and geometric operations, compression, encryption, and data hiding. The second part, Quantum Communication and Cryptography, examines quantum teleportation protocols, secure network design, quantum state dynamics, and the principles of quantum cryptography.

By leveraging the unique properties of quantum mechanics—such as superposition, entanglement, and no-cloning—this work provides scalable solutions to challenges in computational complexity, secure transmission, and robust multimedia systems. It serves as an essential reference for graduate students, researchers, and professionals in quantum computing, multimedia processing, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.

Key Features:

  • Integrates quantum computing principles with real-world applications in multimedia, teleportation, and secure networking.
  • Covers the full spectrum of quantum multimedia processing—from representation and compression to encryption and steganography.
  • Explores quantum teleportation as a core mechanism for achieving secure and high-fidelity information transfer.
  • Introduces geometric and dynamic perspectives on quantum systems for enhanced modeling and transmission reliability.

Since 2024, he has held the position of Full Professor at Menoufia University since July 2024. His extensive research portfolio includes over 330 publications in high-impact journals and conferences, 20 books, and more than 15,000 citations. Since 2022, he has served as the Head of the MEGANET 6G Lab in the Russian Federation and is the Vice Chair of the EIAS Research Lab. Additionally, he is the Founder and Deputy Director of the Centre of Excellence in Quantum & Intelligent Computing. Prof. Abd El-Latif has held prestigious academic and research roles globally, including Head of the MEGANET6G Lab in Russia, Postdoctoral Fellow at Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and Visiting Professorships at the Polish Academy of Sciences and Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, producing over 36 high-impact publications during these engagements. His research focuses on pioneering advancements in quantum computing, chaotic dynamical systems, and artificial intelligence, with applications in cybersecurity and the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). His work in quantum computing emphasizes the development of novel algorithms for data representation, cryptography, privacy, authentication, and information hiding in quantum scenarios. He is currently leading groundbreaking research in quantum information processing and quantum-inspired algorithms to address the challenges of secure data transmission and storage in the quantum computing era. His contributions extend to applications in wireless sensor networks, IoT, healthcare, and smart cities. A recognized leader in his field, Prof. Abd El-Latif has received several prestigious awards, including the State Encouragement Award in Engineering Sciences (2016, Egypt), the Best Ph.D. Student Award from Harbin Institute of Technology (2013, China), and the Young Scientific Award from Menoufia University (2014, Egypt). He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Information Security and Privacy and as a series editor for Quantum Information Processing and Computing and Advances in Cybersecurity Management. He also holds editorial roles in numerous indexed journals (WoS and Scopus quartile-ranked). Prof. Abd El-Latif’s vision is to lead the transition to quantum-safe cybersecurity by developing innovative cryptographic protocols and educating the next generation of researchers and professionals in post-quantum cryptography and quantum-inspired security solutions. His work continues to shape the future of secure data transmission and storage in the digital and quantum eras.

Abdallah Slaoui is a professor of physics at the Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. He is a theoretical physicist specializing in quantum technologies and mathematical physics. Slaoui earned his Ph.D degree from Mohammed V University with a thesis titled "Intrinsic relationships of quantum resource theories and their roles in quantum metrology." Following that, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Physics and Mathematics (CPM). Slaoui's research focuses primarily on the fundamental concept of quantumness, studying its manifestations through nonclassicality, quantum coherence, and entanglement. A major thrust of his work is understanding the role these resources play in the dynamics of quantum many-body systems and in the burgeoning field of quantum metrology. More broadly, his interests lie in the dynamics of quantum resources within open quantum systems, which naturally incorporates an interest in quantum metrology and measurement theory. Furthermore, he explores the critical interplay between information and thermodynamics in the quantum regime, alongside the development and implementation of quantum communication protocols for quantum computers. Prof. Slaoui has authored and co-authored several scientific papers, actively participating in numerous national and international congresses where he presented his research. Additionally, he has been invited to act as a reviewer for many scientific manuscripts from prestigious journals. Beyond his academic pursuits, Prof. Slaoui is passionate about engaging the public in Quantum Physics activities. He is a member of the National Network of Young Researchers in Sciences, and he is involved in the organization of national and international events.

Xianhua Song received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Jilin University in 2005 and 2007 and the Ph. D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2015, respectively. She is currently an associate professor with the School of Science, Harbin University of Science and Technology, China. She is a permanent member of Heilongjiang Mathematical Society and member of China Computer Society. Her research interests include multimedia security, machine learning and quantum computation.
