About the Author :
Sheik Mohammed Sulthan, PhD is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 18 years of teaching experience in electrical and electronics engineering. He currently serves as the Deputy Director at the Centre for Transport Research and an Assistant Professor at Universiti Teknologi Brunei. Additionally, he is the Chair of the IEEE Brunei subsection. His key research areas include renewable energy, electric vehicles, smart grid, and DC microgrid technologies. His work in renewable energy and electric vehicles significantly contributes to promoting sustainable energy solutions and advances environmental sustainability. Dr. Sulthan has an extensive publication record with over 95 international journal and conference papers, four patents, and six book chapters. Dr. Sulthan is listed in World’s Top 2% Scientist Elsevier Stanford Ranking 2024.
Kah Haw Law, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme Area within the Faculty of Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi Brunei. He is an IET Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. With over ten years of academic experience, Dr. Law has successfully led research projects, supervised students, and authored publications. His expertise and research interests include control system design for renewable energy, flexible AC transmission systems, and power electronics and drives. Dr. Law possesses advanced skills in mathematical modeling, simulation, and hardware prototype development.
Abdur-Rasheed Alao, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi Brunei. His current research interests include additive manufacturing, bio/nano mechanics, mechanical behavior of materials, and precision and surface engineering at multi-scale levels. He has authored/co-authored over 30 papers in these areas. He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and the Engineering Council (UK), and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, USA.
