About the Author :

Stephen T. Schroth serves as a Professor of Early Childhood Education/Gifted and Creative Education. With over 30 years of experience teaching students from first grade through graduate school, he has written numerous books, articles, and curricular units. His research has won multiple awards, and his teaching has been recognized for its excellence at the local, statewide, and national levels.

Christian D. Mahone is an award winning administrator serving the Champaign Public School system in Champaign, Illinois. As a 15-year educator in K–12 public education, Christian has served as a Principal in two different school districts and taught grades K–8 in three different school systems. Christian’s expertise as an educator lies within serving as an advocate for marginalized groups by closing the opportunity gap in realization of closing the achievement gap, increasing student achievement that serves as a catalyst for positive student outcomes.
