Review :
“Infrastructure financing is a cornerstone of poverty reduction and economic growth. This comprehensive handbook, edited by Abor, Macomber, Arun, and Murinde, offers a deep dive into the multifaceted world of infrastructure finance. From development strategies to industry insights, public policy implications, and future innovations, this volume provides a valuable resource for anyone seeking to understand the challenges and opportunities in this critical field. A must-read for policymakers, investors, and academics alike”. Robert Lensink Professor of Finance and Financial Markets University of Groningen, Netherlands “Abor, Macomber, Arun and Murinde have effectively mobilised experts to give us lucidly the principles of infrastructure finance, the criticality of infrastructure in socio-economic development, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise in this sector. This is an important and invaluable handbook for all those who care about infrastructure” Dr. George Kararach, Lead Economist, African Development Bank Group, Cote d’Ivoire and Visiting Professor in Practice, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK. This Handbook of Infrastructure Finance, edited by well-established development finance scholars, Abor, Macomber, Arun, and Murinde, brings into the picture one of the missing blocks in the finance literature, infrastructure financing. Infrastructure finance is critical in supporting economic development and sustainable growth in emerging and developing economies. The book not only provides the reader with a good overview of infrastructure financing challenges and experiences throughout the world, where lessons can be learned but also provides us with the best approaches and innovative solutions to tackle infrastructure financing gaps, especially in emerging and developing economies. This is a must-read book for anyone interested in infrastructure finance and development finance.
