About the Author :

Dr. Jashanpreet Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor in ‘University Center for Research and Development’ at Chandigarh University, Mohali, India. He had obtained his PhD degree in the field of Slurry Erosion and Thermal Spray Coatings from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala in 2019. He has a teaching experience of more than three years and industry experience of more than two years. His area of research is tribology-solid particle erosion, power plant engineering, ash conveying, thermal spray coatings, CFD simulation, composites, and materials characterization. He has contributed comprehensively in thermal spray coatings and tribology in reputed journals including Wear, Tribology International, Ceramics International, Applied Surface Science Advances, Particulate Science and Technology, Engineering Failure Analysis, ASME: Journal of Tribology, ASCE Journal of Pipeline Systems - Engineering and Practice, Coatings, Proceedings of IMeche Part J: Journal of Engineering Tribology, Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering, Surface Review and Letters, Materials Science & Engineering B, Industrial Lubrication and Tribology, under the flagship of various publishers like Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Sage, Springer nature, World Scientific, Emrald Publishing, etc. He has authored 75+ research publications in which 46 publications are indexed in SCIE/ESCI (Web of Science) and 71 are indexed in SCOPUS database in various International Journals, Books and Conferences of repute. Dr. Hitesh Vasudev is working as a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. He has received his Ph.D. degree from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana-India in 2018 under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Harmeet Singh, GNDEC, Ludhiana and Dr. Lalit Thakur, NIT, Kurukshetra. His research areas include Surface Engineering/Thermal Spraying (HVOF, Flame Spray, Cold and Plasma Spray, and Microwave Claddings). Currently working on the development of Nano- structured, Multi-modal, and High entropy alloys coatings for high temperature oxidation and corrosion resistance -Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) and Microwave processing of materials. Recently, he has listed in World top 2% Scientists published by Stanford University and Elsevier-2023. He has contributed extensively in thermal spray coatings in repute journals which include Surface coatings and Technology, Materials Today Communications, Engineering Failure Analysis, Journal of Cleaner Production, Surface Topography: Metrology and Properties and Journal of failure prevention and control, International Journal of Surface Engineering and Interdisciplinary Materials Science under the flagship of various publication groups such as Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer nature, IGI Global and In-Tech Open. Moreover, he is a dedicated reviewer of reputed journals such as Surface Coatings and Technology, Journal of Thermal Spray and Technology, Ceramics International, Journal of Material Engineering Performance, Engineering Failure Analysis, Surface Topography: Metrology and Properties Material Research Express, Engineering Research Express and IGI Global journals etc. He has been awarded a "Top Cited Paper Awards India 2022" by @IOP Publishing, United Kingdom in Review Category. He has won Research Excellence Award-2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023 in Lovely Professional University. He has granted patent titled “High-Temperature Oxidation and Erosion Resistant Alloy-718/Al2O3 Composite Coatings”. He has organized a National Conference and International Conferences. He has received a SEED MONEY for project tilted “Fabrication of coatings for bio-medical applications”, Project Number: LPU/DRD/SEED/SAC/140222/24804 from Lovely Professional University, India. He has also received a grant from Scientific Engineering and Research Board (SERB), New Delhi, Government of India to conduct a conference in 2023.

Dr. Ankit Sharma holds the position of Head of the Chitkara University Publications at Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab, India. He received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. He is having more than 10 years of experience in academics, research, consulting, training, and industry. Dr. Sharma is also organizing an international conference-ICEMSMCI 2023 & serving as the General chair and convenor. He has authored numerous national and international publications in SCIE, Scopus, and Web of Science-indexed journals. He has filed/published 30+ International patents. He is also the Book Series Editor entitled ‘Innovations in Smart Manufacturing for Long-Term Development and Growth’ of CRC Press, Taylor and Francis-Publisher. Dr. Murali Mohan Cheepu is currently a Research Manager at STARWELDS Inc. Busan, Republic of Korea. He has several years of industry experience, most notably at JSW Steel Ltd. India as a Junior Manager and at STARWELDS Inc. as a Research Manager specializing in the development of emerging materials, wire arc additive manufacturing processes for large-scale components, welding process design, automation, digitalization and artificial intelligence. He received his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering at Kyungsung University in 2019. His master’s degree was in Welding Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. As well, he has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, India. He also carried out his Post-Doctoral research at Pukyong National University, Korea in 2019. Dr. Murali has extensive research experience in additive manufacturing, welding and joining technologies, development of welding filler materials, mechanical behavior materials, and machine learning and AI of the WAAM process. He has published numerous papers in scientific and conference proceedings, edited books, and patents, and continues to serve as the editorial board member of several journals. In addition, he received the "Best Researcher Award” “Young Fellow Award” from the Korean Welding and Joining Society in 2020 and 2023, and the "Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award” from SME in 2023. He also awarded the “Outstanding Contributor Award” from the ‘Korean Society for Precision Engineers’ in 2023. Dr. Murali is an IEEE senior member and member of KWJS, HKSME, AWS, KSME, and SME.
