Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs refer to the UN stipulated road-map for development in 17 defined areas, by 2030. It was built on the previously established Millennium Development Goals (MDG). This first volume (SDG-1) deals with eradicating poverty with the help of modern ICT technologies needed to end poverty and create a better society. Saravanan Krishnan is an Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering in College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, India. He is also Deputy Director for Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC), Anna University, Chennai. He has a master's in Software Engineering and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. His research interests include Cloud Computing, Blockchain, Software Engineering, IoT, and Smart cities. He published several papers conferences, book chapters reputed journals.
